The theory will be at Morecambe Sailing Club staring at 09.00 to 11.30 hrs.
The practical part will be at Kendal club compressor shed aiming to start at 13.00 hrs (we can slip that to 13.30 hrs if needed). End time depends on how many students (and cylinders) we have, but aiming to finish by 16.30 hrs.
Maximum 6 students, who will need to purchase their own Compressor Operator student packs from the sport80 website in advance of the training day. If anyone is just refreshing (and already have the qualification), then they don’t need a student pack and don’t count towards the maximum number for the course.
Everyone needs to bring at least one cylinder to charge, the cost for this will be £6 per cylinder, which will go to Kendal Club’s compressor fund. (You can bring more than one cylinder but it will cost £6 a cylinder, the standard charge, and may not be filled if we run out of time.)
I suggest that to make it easy, everyone pays just £6, brings a cylinder to be filled and any extra cylinders can be individually sorted on the day. No-one needs to bring cash, extras can be paid for by BACS.
For the practical:
The Compressor Room
Unit 37 West & Unit 37 East,
Lake District Business Park,
Mint Bridge Road,
Kendal,
LA9 6NH
When you enter the industrial estate, drive around past the Climbing Wall with the main buildings on your left and the green fencing on your right. On your left there is a brick outbuilding on the back of one of the large factories and it has compressed gas signs on the wall with a Flag Alpha on the door. Lots of parking.
