Learn how to get the best results from your existing underwater camera!

This 2 day workshop, delivered by professional diver and photographer, Roisin Maddison who was a speaker at the Go Diving Show last March, will be pitched at a basic level and will focus on how to get the best results from your underwater camera.

Saturday morning will be spent in the classroom looking at understanding basic manual settings, composition and lighting, followed by a dive in the afternoon to put into practice what you’ve learned, and experiment with different settings. Sunday morning we’ll be back in the classroom to review the results of our photography dive. Our tutor will need to leave us at lunchtime on Sunday, but we’ll all be able to jump back into the water to take some more super photos!

Just for clarification, this is not the BSAC photography skills development course which requires registration fees to BSAC and purchase of a BSAC manual.

We’ll have expenses to cover which will be split equally between everyone who books. Therefore the final cost will depend upon numbers but I’d expect it to be somewhere between £18.34 and £27.50 per person. A non-refundable deposit of £18.34 will be payable upon booking and the balance (if any) will be payable by the beginning of November. You’ll also have your diving entry fee to pay at Capernwray on both days.

The workshop is organised by John Adams and Cath Lee, and is to be a joint event between Lunesdale Divers and John’s other club, Kendal and South Lakes. Dive Manager – John Adams. Numbers are limited to 12, so initially we’re offering 6 to each club and will see what happens. Places allocated on a first come, first served basis, so if you’re interested get it booked right away!
